Bouncy Woods — Review
Genre: strategy
I'll be the first to admit, I was hooked from the get-go on "Bouncy Woods". This game has a certain je ne sais quoi that draws you in and refuses to let go. It's a masterclass in simplicity, where the core loop is both deceptively easy and infuriatingly difficult at the same time. You play as a runner who must navigate through treacherous terrain, avoiding obstacles and enemies while trying to reach the end of the level.
The core loop is incredibly fun to repeat, with each run offering a unique experience due to the procedurally generated levels. You'll find yourself bouncing around, dodging attacks, and using your wits to outmaneuver your foes. The game's AI is surprisingly aggressive, making each run a thrilling experience.
In terms of controls, I found the keyboard to be the most responsive, but the touch controls are still serviceable. A few small tips: use the environment to your advantage, and don't be afraid to take risks. The game also features a scoring system, where you can improve your score by collecting coins and completing levels quickly.
One thing to note is that the game runs in an iframe, which can make it a bit difficult to read at times. However, switching to full screen mode helps to alleviate this issue. Overall, I highly recommend "Bouncy Woods" to fans of strategy games and runners. With its addictive gameplay and challenging difficulty spikes, it's a game that will keep you coming back for more.
